Glucose levels on a smartwatch without a phone nearby (Freestyle Libre 2 + Bubble Mini + Samsung Galaxy watch 4)
I started using the Freestyle Libre 1 in July 2020, I switched to Libre 2 in April 2021. I was very happy with the alarms, but over time became annoyed by carrying around several devices. Because of the Bluetooth and NFC capabilities of the Libre sensors, I wondered: What if I had a watch with Bluetooth and/or NFC? It would eliminate the need to drag around a phone or reader, everywhere I go. After weeks of trial, error and endless web browsing, I have found myself a set-up that works. This is what it looks like: With my current set-up, I can always use the Libre 2 reader as a back-up, to scan the sensor and receive the high and low alarms.
