  I started using the Freestyle Libre 1 in July 2020, I switched to Libre 2 in April 2021. I was very happy with the alarms, but over time became annoyed by carrying around several devices. Because of the Bluetooth and NFC capabilities of the Libre sensors, I wondered: What if I had a watch with Bluetooth and/or NFC? It would eliminate the need to drag around a phone or reader, everywhere I go. After weeks of trial, error and endless web browsing, I have found myself a set-up that works. This is what it looks like:                     With my current set-up, I can always use the Libre 2 reader as a back-up, to scan the sensor and receive the high and low alarms. This is very important to me, because apps and bluetooth can fail to connect, often for unknown reasons. Below, you will find the steps I followed. Always keep location (GPS) on phone or watch turned on! Without it, bluetooth will likely NOT function or (re)connect. This may seem ridiculous and unnecessary, because that's what it is. In 2019, Android (read: Google) made it mandatory for any app to have location permission in order to work with Bluetooth devices. This is an abomination and drains battery, but cannot really be avoided.   Placing Bubble Mini on sensor Don't stick the Bubble to the sensor with adhesive, only to skin. This way, the Bubble may be less securely connected, but if sticked to the sensor, the Bubble causes additional friction and pull and the Libre sensor will likely fall of before the 14-day lifetime of the sensor. The Bubble may fall of once every few days, but is easily reattached. A sensor that comes loose from skin cannot be used anymore.  Manually check whether Bubble is positioned correctly over the sensor, before sticking it to skin. I ripped open a Libre 2 sensor. This is what the circuit board looks like:                   According to a video which takes apart and explains a Libre sensor ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYIm97wjl0o ), the main chip is an rf430frl15xH. My best guess is that the video is about a Libre 1 sensor, without bluetooth. On the LimiTTer gitter ( https://gitter.im/JoernL/LimiTTer?at=5c2eff506649aa1f82199078 ), Mathias Walter reported that an EM9304 ( https://www.emmicroelectronic.com/product/standard-protocols/em9304 ) is used for the bluetooth.
